EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Quality Assurance Incoming Inspector in our Hughes Network Systems division located in Germantown, MD. Hughes is a leading provider of satellite and managed network services, utilizing innovative network technologies and solutions to serve mobility, enterprises, and governments globally. This on-site quality assurance job involves measuring, examining, testing, or gauging various product characteristics and comparing results with specified requirements to determine whether there is conformity.

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Inspection – Visually and measuring incoming materials to confirm they meet specifications.
  • Nonconforming Material – Identify and process materials to MRB that don’t meet specifications.
  • Documenting – Record inspection results and any issues via Inspection Reports.
  • Maintaining equipment – Ensure inspection tools remain within the calibration period.
  • Aviation components – Ensure CofCs, FAIs and supplier test records are provided.

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in related quality assurance inspection roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of ERP/SAP and QMS systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D Aerospace Standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Strong communication skills, be detailed-oriented and have commitment to quality.
  • Capable of interpreting supplier data sheets, mechanical drawings, and custom specifications.
  • Usage of calipers, gauges, micrometers, DVMs and other equipment to measure product.
  • Familiarity to ESD compliance and 5S work area procedures.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $77,500.00 - $97,000.00
