Basic Function
Airvac is the global leader in the Vacuum Technology System industry. The primary function of our Quality Control Technician I is to examine materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications. They determine whether to accept or reject items and report on inspection results. Our Quality Control Technician I travels up to 10% of the time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Pulls quality control part samples after material is received.
- Completed and maintains material inspection reports.
- Works to resolves non-conformance issues by collaborating with various departments.
- Evaluates data, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Assists fabrication department with station start-up.
- Participates in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support to management and auditors.
- Communicates quality or compliance concerns to Supervisor/Manager with urgency.
- Ensures measuring and testing equipment are calibrated and maintained to guarantee accurate and reliable results.
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and quality objectives.
- Performs various other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1+ years' experience in material inspection or quality control.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with willingness to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, assembly orders, and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work as a team in a collaborative environment as well as individually.
- Certified forklift operator or ability to become certified.
- Software proficiency to include Windows and Microsoft Office. Sharepoint and SAP experience preferred.
