Autonomous Maintenance Technician - Nights 7p-7a

The Autonomous Maintenance Technician is a member of a production line and will learn/utilize troubleshooting and repair skills along with manufacturing best practices. The Autonomous Maintenance Technician works directly with autonomous maintenance technicians, Plant Supervisors/Managers, Preventative Maintenance Mechanics and Sr. Maintenance Technicians to resolve mechanical issues that arise during shift. The Autonomous Maintenance Technician proposes solutions to complex and reoccurring problems on production equipment to Sr. Mechanics and Management to resolve issues.

**Essential Functions


  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems issues that arise during assigned shift
  • Oversee production within assigned work area
  • Assist in repairing equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment within assigned work area
  • Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment in accordance with Niagara’s defined processes
  • Work independently and with other team members in assigned work area to complete repairs and preventative maintenance tasks in a safe and timely manner
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. 
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job to ensure equipment and facility uptime

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 Year – Experience in Field or similar maintenance environment
  • 1 Year – Experience in Position
  • experience may include a combination of work experience and education
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Effective communication of issues and solutions to cross-functional team members
  • Skilled in the use of basic hand tools – drills, screwdrivers, diagnostic tools, etc
  • Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of machine operation

**Preferred Qualifications:


  • 2 Years– Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
  • 2 Years – Experience working in Position 
  • experience may include a combination of work experience and education
  • Experience in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries

Experience with the following technologies:

  • Krones, Sidel, or Husky manufacturing equipment

You should be proficient in:

  • Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
