Job Description

We have partnered with a leading fleet services and vehicle upfitting company in Avon Lake, OH to hire an Auto Tech. This is a first shift opportunity with a starting pay rate of $16.00/hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $17.50/hour with perfect attendance. This role focuses on vehicle assembly, automotive troubleshooting, mechanical installations, and fleet vehicle upfitting in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform automotive assembly, installation, and upfitting tasks on trucks and vans.
• Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and work instructions to complete assigned projects.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical components while ensuring quality standards are met.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and lifting aids safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain production goals and efficient workflow.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies while working in a manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques and lifting aids.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well with others, manage stress, and maintain a positive team attitude.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• ASE Certification & Ford Certification.
• Automotive mechanical and troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening requirements.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; Monday - Friday
• Voluntary overtime available on Saturdays as needed
