Job Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Automotive Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to join our Equipment Planning Group supporting paint department operations.
- This role involves approximately 80% office-based and 20% shop-floor activity, and requires hands-on involvement in equipment specifications development, project management, and manufacturing-focused requirements (for example, materials handling).
- The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing experience, practical knowledge of robotics and maintenance, and the ability to execute and inspect equipment and systems on site.
- Candidates with SEIBI experience are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential; CAD/AutoCAD skills are a plus.
- Responsibilities include supporting conveyor and paint-line projects, planning equipment, creating and reviewing technical and inspection documentation, participating in on-site inspections, and performing quality check
- Become an expert in multiple paint shop technologies and systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve goals
