Our client in Mentor on the Lake, OH is seeking
an
Automotive Field Technician III
to perform advanced vehicle diagnostics, ADAS calibrations, and scanning services for automotive repair facilities throughout the assigned territory.
This role is ideal for a technician with strong diagnostic abilities, OEM scan tool experience, and a passion for working with the latest automotive technology.
Compensation: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour 1st Shift Hours!
What You'll Do
- Perform vehicle diagnostic scans using OEM and aftermarket scan tools
- Complete pre-scan and post-scan inspections and documentation
- Conduct ADAS calibrations and recalibrations
- Assist with virtual diagnostic and calibration services
- Interpret diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and identify repair recommendations
- Evaluate vehicle systems and provide accurate diagnostic findings
- Read and follow OEM repair procedures and technical service information
- Perform minor disassembly and reassembly to access sensors and modules
- Maintain detailed service records and calibration documentation
- Communicate technical findings to repair facilities and customers
- Test drive vehicles as necessary to verify repairs and calibrations
- Stay current on evolving vehicle technology, electronics, and ADAS systems
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician in a dealership or aftermarket repair environment
- Experience using OEM and/or aftermarket diagnostic scan tools
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle concerns effectively
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office

- Automotive technical school education
- ASE Certifications
- I-CAR Certifications
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
