Job Overview:

Automation Technician | Now Hiring | Greensboro, NC

Compensation Includes:

  • Starting rate of **$28.70 - $32.94/hour - **depending on experience

Rotating Shift Schedule:

  • 7:00pm - 7:00am

Requirements:

  • Performs basic troubleshooting and maintenance work on automation equipment.

  • Recovers robot when it malfunctions.

  • Determines root cause of electrical and mechanical robot and PLC failures, then implements corrective actions.

  • Possesses troubleshooting and repair skills for both low and high voltage systems.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs gears, bearings, sprockets and other mechanical drive systems

  • Understands schematics for pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and can maintain those systems

  • Performs preventative maintenance on production line equipment

  • Utilizes CMMS to record equipment deficiencies, corrective actions, and to assess equipment breakdown trends

  • On-call as needed by department and able to be flexible with schedule as needed.

  • Must possess the ability to work in tight spaces and on ladders/platforms.

  • Sets up variable frequency drives

  • Wires 480 and lower voltage motors

  • Analytical, problem solving, and strong technical skills including mechanical, electrical and PLC programming

  • Strong skills in customer service, interpersonal, oral communication, written communications, teamwork, judgment, motivation, planning, organizing, professionalism, quality, quantity, safety, adaptability, attendance, punctuality, dependability, initiative, innovation.

  • HS Diploma or Equivalency, preferred associate’s degree.

  • 5 + years automation technician experience within robot and PLC.

  • Maintenance and troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley and ABB equipment is preferred.
