Come join our team as an Automation Technician! As an Automation Technician, you will repair and maintain the computer-controlled assembly systems and robotic devices within the manufacturing facility. Duties required will include troubleshooting component parts including motion sensors, control components, photosensors, and other vital technology. Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, motors and programable controllers (PLC) is essential.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components
  • Troubleshoot & repair electro-mechanical and pneumatic equipment
  • Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality
  • Report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status
  • Participate in the machine development process
  • Improve existing equipment and tooling through robust root cause analysis of repetitive issues.

Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
  • 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm (Shift premium available)

Qualifications to be successful:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Technical school degree/certification is preferred.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in the support of automated assembly/mechanical equipment/Robotics
  • Thorough understanding of and experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read electronic & pneumatic schematics
  • Experience wiring industrial controls
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley) is highly desired
  • Familiarity with CAD systems is a plus
  • Experience in welding/fabrication would be helpful
  • Previous Field Service experience desired

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

Manufacturing environment. Frequent stooping and bending. Ability to inspect small parts. Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Physical ability to lift boxes up to 40lbs.
