SHIFT: A Shift

HOURS: Monday – Friday and every other weekend required to support Operations.

PAY RATE: $43.05/hour and is paid weekly.

Job Responsibilities:

Performs high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair
Assists engineering and plant team members with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems
Provides technical support for all phases of the operation
All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
Performs other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associate’s Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training. Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus
At least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience
Requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes
Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry
Must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specifications
- Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance
Ability to perform accurate calculations by performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Accountable to self and to others
Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
Ability to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as needed
Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed
Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (i.e., 80-90°F) to cold (i.e., 20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels of various heights and in confined spaces, if needed
Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder level
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
Ability to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
