SHIFT: A Shift

HOURS: Monday – Friday and every other weekend required to support Operations.

PAY RATE: $43.05/hour and is paid weekly.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs high-level machine and systems troubleshooting and repair
  • Assists engineering and plant team members with the specification, installation, and modification of integrated systems
  • Provides technical support for all phases of the operation
  • All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
  • Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
  • Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
  • Performs other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Training beyond High School including either an Associate’s Degree (AS) in Electronics Technology (or closely related technical field), or a combination of education and experience that can include skilled trades programs or military training. Certifications in any technical field or techniques is a plus
  • At least four (4) years of automation experience and/or industrial maintenance experience
  • Requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters including electricity and electronics, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes
  • Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry
  • Must have strong skills in document organization, the use of technical materials, and research techniques
    • Ability to read, understand, and interpret product specifications
    • Must either be proficient or become proficient in SAP Maintenance
  • Ability to perform accurate calculations by performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Accountable to self and to others
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Ability to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as needed
  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed
  • Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (i.e., 80-90°F) to cold (i.e., 20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
  • Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels of various heights and in confined spaces, if needed
  • Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder level
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
