Job Overview:

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automation Technician to join a growing team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is critical in supporting plant automation systems and ensuring optimal performance and uptime of processing and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of factory automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and pneumatic systems.

  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of robotic packaging equipment.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical control circuits, including both AC and DC systems and facility wiring.

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all work performed.

  • Accurately document maintenance activities and update system logs.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in automation troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance—preferably within the food processing and packaging industry.

  • Strong understanding of control systems and factory automation components.

  • Solid experience with electrical diagnostics and working with live electrical circuits.

  • Familiarity with robotic packaging systems and their troubleshooting.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, electrical diagrams, and manuals.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on 1st or 3rd shift, including some weekends or holidays as needed.
