About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automation Technician to join a growing team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is critical in supporting plant automation systems and ensuring optimal performance and uptime of processing and packaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of factory automation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and pneumatic systems.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting and repair of robotic packaging equipment.
Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical control circuits, including both AC and DC systems and facility wiring.
Execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and support continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across all work performed.
Accurately document maintenance activities and update system logs.
Qualifications:
3–5 years of hands-on experience in automation troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance—preferably within the food processing and packaging industry.
Strong understanding of control systems and factory automation components.
Solid experience with electrical diagnostics and working with live electrical circuits.
Familiarity with robotic packaging systems and their troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, electrical diagrams, and manuals.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on 1st or 3rd shift, including some weekends or holidays as needed.
