Day 1 – Job Description
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:00 PM, with occasional weekend support as needed.
Required Skills
- Must be able to troubleshoot and edit ABB robots using a teaching pendant.
- Must be able to troubleshoot PLCs and edit parameters within programs.
- Must be able to troubleshoot electrical systems from 480V down to 24V, including motors, fuses, contactors, relays, and drives.
Typical Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and program ABB robotic welding and cutting systems.
- Use teaching pendants to re-home, reprogram, and adjust robot operations.
- Bring outdated robots back online and assist with new robot installations.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, automation systems, sensors, scanners, and tracking equipment.
- Support electricians with CAT cable terminations, 480V equipment, and controls-related tasks.
- Train maintenance employees on robot operation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Work with vendors, supervisors, and the Special Projects Manager on automation projects.
- Perform preventive maintenance to help reduce equipment downtime.
