AFP specializes in selling motion control utilizing Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electric products. You will work with a team of manufacturer partners, Customer Service Representatives and Applications Engineers to offer solutions for our customer applications using Electrical and Pneumatics Automation products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the company’s automation sales goals through professional sales techniques and good customer service, meeting sales growth goals.
- Develops maximum automation sales potential out of assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of AFP automation products and services.
- Builds and maintains positive relations with existing accounts, and increases account base and volume of automation sales on a consistent basis.
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including company leads, networking and cold calls, following up on leads promptly.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs.
- Stays current in market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings and new technologies.
- Creates customized proposals to meet specific customer requirements efficiently.
- Works with vendor representatives, AFP sales and technical teams to solve customer applications.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Electrical automation product knowledge and experience including PLC's, industrial networks, motor controls and control panel components.
- Experience with electric motion control including actuators, motors and drives.
- Knowledge of industrial safety products and their application.
- Strong Math Skills.
- Excellent diplomacy and negotiation skills.
- Valid Driver’s License – must meet insurance underwriting requirements.
The ideal candidate may have:
- Associates Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or equivalent experience. Bachelors in Mechatronics or Industrial Automation preferred.
- Prior Electrical Automation sales experience preferred.
