Automation Engineer

Overview:

Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a leading manufacturer specializing in advanced plastic injection molding and automated paint finishing solutions. For over 25 years, this company has grown into a full-service operation with 40 injection molding machines ranging from 100 to 3600 tons and world-class automated paint lines capable of handling parts up to 10 feet long — even full-size Corvette hoods. Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to write reports, interpret blueprints, and effectively communicate with associates, management, suppliers, and customers
  • Experience developing or improving manufacturing processes, including documentation and validation
  • Familiarity with TS16949 initiatives preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain process parameters for operations
  • Develop or revise work instructions, check sheets, and other process documentation
  • Conduct and coordinate system tests to evaluate and improve production efficiency
  • Collaborate with equipment designers and manufacturing teams to develop cost-effective production processes for new products
  • Oversee process design projects to ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements while sustaining a clean work environment
  • Interface with suppliers, customers, and other necessary personnel
  • Support continuous improvement and TS16949 quality initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
