Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team in Canandaigua, NY. Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PLCs, Fanuc robots and other industrial automation equipment.
- Design and develop electrical schematics for various automation systems.
- Program and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
- Utilize CAD software, including AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Solid Edge, for system design and modifications.
- Program and integrate industrial robots from brands such as Fanuc, ABB, and Yaskawa Motoman.
- Work with single and three-phase power systems, including 120/208/240/480 voltage systems.
- Implement and troubleshoot vision systems and servo motors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes and equipment reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and power systems.
- Experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Solid Edge.
- Familiarity with industrial robot programming and integration.
- Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and servo motors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
