Job Overview:

Controls Technician - 4th Shift

Location: Southern New Hampshire (South of Lincoln / Franconia Notch)

Schedule: Friday - Sunday | 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Pay Range: $22.89 - $47.78 per hour

Shift Differential: Additional 12% for 4th Shift

Position Overview

Are you a skilled technician who enjoys building, troubleshooting, and bringing advanced machinery to life? We're seeking a Controls Technician to support the assembly, integration, and testing of custom automation systems used in cutting-edge manufacturing environments.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside engineers and technical specialists on highly customized equipment, including robotics, laser systems, automated feeders, precision machinery, and other advanced automation technologies. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, plumb, and test custom automation equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, SolidWorks models, and assembly documentation.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical systems and assist with basic electrical diagnostics.
  • Install, align, fit, and adjust machine components for optimal performance.
  • Verify machine dimensions, tolerances, and operating functionality.
  • Support machine startup, commissioning, and system debugging activities.
  • Organize incoming materials, components, and project inventory to support production schedules.
  • Operate shop equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, and welding equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and project teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, machining, or automation-related environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience assembling, repairing, or troubleshooting machinery.
  • Experience using fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical prints.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with automation equipment, robotics, conveyors, or industrial machinery.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience involving wiring, sensors, VFDs, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation concepts.
  • Automotive, agricultural, military, construction equipment, or heavy equipment maintenance experience.
  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
