Job Overview:

Your Role: What you'll be doing

Provides engineering, integration and technical support of automated assembly equipment. Designs, develops, and supervises all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.   Responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software.  Design work includes PLC SW logic, CNC programming, HMI programming, and drive configuration.  Highly analytical and uses these skills to examine and improve processes in order to increase productivity effectively, efficiently, and safely.  Performs troubleshooting and eliminates control systems issues as they arise.  Maintains configuration control of current PLC source codes and modifies according to engineering design changes. 
  • Responsible for automated controls system design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance.
  • Design, write, test, implement and document PLC and HMI software.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and production support of the control systems on the production floor.
  • Completes the design and/or modifies the design of complex systems that integrate both hardware and software controls elements.
  • Work with other integration engineers on researching new technologies which can be applied to aerospace applications to improve system design and performance.

Your Background: What education and experience you'll need

Requires a bachelor’s degree plus 5 - 8 years of experience.

Your Background: What skills you'll need

  • Bachelor degree required, or 4 years of directly related exempt work experience may be used to satisfy the bachelor's degree requirement for positions. 
  • Proven experience in PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley or Siemens
  • CNC experience with Siemens 840 controllers
  • Experience programming servo drives and VFD’s
  • Proficient in programming Fanuc, Kuka, and/or ABB robots a plus
  • Experience in C++ or Python Programming language is preferred
