We're looking for an experienced industrial electrical technician with a knack for troubleshooting and control systems. As a Controls Field Technician III, you will work alongside our Integration Engineers to support PLC troubleshooting and commissioning at client sites, particularly at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, GA. You must live within commuting distance of the airport and be ready to tackle challenges head-on in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
Your role will include:
- Troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining electrical control systems.
- Collaborating with Integration Engineers and clear communication with project stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
- Handling a range of tasks from basic programming to advanced troubleshooting, while actively participating in rapid technical growth, especially in PLC programming and airport automation operations.

Need to Know:
- Hourly pay, non-exempt position.
- Direct reporting to the Sr. Program Manager.
- Travel will generally range from 40% - 85%, mostly domestic with the possibility of international travel in the future.
- Close collaboration with Manager, Controls Engineering and other field technicians.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a TSA background check and pre-employment, customer requested, or random drug screening.
Physical Demands:
Expect to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, operate in low-light environments, and adjust to varying temperatures. Physical endurance and flexibility are key.
What You Bring (Requirements):
- Strong troubleshooting and electrical control system skills, especially with PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and AutoCAD.
- Prior experience working with Ignition software will give you an advantage in the hiring process.
- Ability to improve control systems for maximum efficiency and quickly resolve issues with control components.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and creating electrical designs.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and controls devices and their applications.
- A solid understanding of safety practices and the proper use of PPE
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing devices (multi-meters)
- Strong utilization skills with Microsoft Office and basic computer software.
