Set up and operate stamping presses according to die setup sheets and production requirements.
Run and monitor presses up to 1,000 tons while ensuring quality stampings are produced.
Select and verify appropriate steel coils to meet customer and production specifications.
Change steel coils as needed to maintain continuous production output.
Load, unload, lift, move, push, or position materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds, with assistance for heavier items when necessary.
Properly package finished parts in approved containers according to packaging and labeling requirements.
Complete work center inspection sheets and verify that quality checks and gauge requirements are being met.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by performing housekeeping duties.
Cross-train and support other work centers as needed.
Complete required production paperwork and documentation.
Meet daily production requirements.
Perform additional duties as directed by supervisors or management.
High school diploma or GED required.
One year of experience running automatic feed stamping presses preferred.
Ability to adjust press speed and press height (shut height) or ability to learn required.
Ability to adjust press fingers preferred.
Experience using functional gauges and go/no-go gauges required.
Basic PC skills including keyboard and mouse usage required.
Ability to frequently lift or move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools, equipment, and materials.
Frequently lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts and large stamping presses.
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and electrical equipment.
Noise levels may be high; hearing protection is required and provided.
Safety glasses are required and provided.
Steel-toe safety shoes or boots are required.
