Job Description

Penmac Staffing is hiring an Auto Lathe Operator for a manufacturing facility in the Springfield area. This is a great opportunity for candidates with machining experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to perform accurate quality inspections. The Auto Lathe Operator will produce precision parts while operating and monitoring multiple machines after training. Full-Time | 2nd Shift

Pay: $19.15 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30 PM-11:00 PM## Requirements for the Auto Lathe Operator

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous machining experience preferred
• Ability to accurately use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written instructions and quality specifications
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand, sit, reach, bend, and use hands throughout the shift
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Auto Lathe Operator Responsibilities

• Operate automatic lathe machines to manufacture precision components
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other quality control equipment
• Monitor machine performance and identify production issues
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts
• Maintain production goals while operating multiple machines after training
• Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards

Pay and Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday-Friday
• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM-11:00 PM
• $19.15 per hour
