This position requires one of the following certifications: CAP GSLC Security+ CE

  • Will Coordinate activities associated with the security authorization of system and enclaves, as well as articulates the operational risk for consideration by the AO in rendering a risk decision. 
  • Responsible for developing an operational risk statement for use by the AO in rendering the risk decision.  This statement shall be developed for each authorization or change package and shall evaluate and document the risk and impact to organizational operations (including mission, functions, image, or reputation), organizational assets, individuals, other organizations, or the Nation. 

  • The AODR, in developing the risk statement, shall also consider any applicable risk-related guidance from the DoD Senior Information Security Officer (SISO), Principal Accrediting Official (PAOs), DoD International Security Risk Management Consortium (ISRMC), DSAWG, DoD Component SISO, or mission owner(s).  These operational risk statements are processed on the appropriate form and submitted into RTS for consideration by the AO.

  • The AODR shall prepare the authorization decision verbiage and a decision shall consider and include conditions, limitations, circuits, whitelist, classification, and reporting requirements. 

  • The AODR shall use previous authorization conditions to capture actions still pending completion and incorporate that information into the AO decision verbiage within the Security Authorization Package, in which, the decision shall be documented on the appropriate form and submitted in RTS for further processing. 

  • Responsible for performing continuous monitoring of assigned programs providing visibility to the AO and Security Control Assessor (SCA).  Each program shall be reviewed quarterly and the results documented on the Continuous Monitoring Form and submitted for posting to SharePoint in the program folder.  Continuous monitoring activities include the following:


    • Monitor and track the POA&M in eMASS to ensure milestones are met.
    • Monitor and track in eMASS all actions required of the program by the AO through completion.
    • Monitor and track scan and STIG self-assessment results for any non-compliant red or yellow control impacts, analyze the results, and provide situational awareness as appropriate.





  • Must possess an IAM-I level certification which requires one of the following certifications: CAP GSLC Security+ CE



  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience



Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or above, or equivalent combination of IT technical or cybersecurity Associates Degree and five years’ experience. 


  • Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
