We are looking Packaging and Production Operators for all our 3 shifts (morning, afternoon and night), 6 days a week. Epi Breads is a wholesale food manufacture who makes bread for restaurants and grocery stores. Join our dedicated team members and learn the art of making BREAD!

What you will do:

Packaging and Production Operator are entry-level positions in our bakery but one of the most important roles. You will be focused on several duties such as operating production equipment, quality control, and working on a high-speed production line.  We offer training to move you forward in your career!

Essential Functions:

• Production duties: Operate dough machines and maintain continuous production line duties including dough shaping, loading/unloading pans, rack logistics, etc.
• Packaging duties:  Verify proper packaging equipment and operate packaging machine (slicer/wrapper), sort breads, pack boxes, etc.
• Visually inspect product (quality/quantity) and assist quality control.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow the Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), policies & procedures
• Reports all equipment/product issues to the supervisor or manager in a timely manner
• Assist other team members as needed. Requires flexibility to fill in for absent positions in production or packaging areas. TEAM WORK!

Requirements:

• Motivation, dedication, respect, attendance and a smile!
• Previous experience in a bakery or food manufacture is a plus but not required (we will train you!)
• Must be able to stand and walk for an 8-hour day; lifting up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes that occur on the production line.

Hourly wage rate:

The starting rate for our Entry-Level production and packaging operators is $12-$15 per hour depending on skill level and physical demands. 
 

Work Environment:

We are critical infrastructure and during the COVID 19 National Emergency, we require everyone to wear masks at the plant, constantly keep hands clean, apply social distancing and perform COVID 19 testing as needed. Good attendance is very important to us; we need our Team Members to be at work when they are scheduled.
