Iowa State University is seeking an Athletics Equipment Manager to support the daily equipment operations for designated sports and equipment rooms. Reporting to the Director of Equipment Operations, this role oversees equipment inventory, purchasing, budget monitoring, and the full scope of equipment needs for practices, competitions, and visiting teams. Initial sport assignments include: wrestling, swimming/diving, track/field, and cross country, subject to change as needed.
What you’ll do
The ideal candidates will bring experience in athletics equipment operations; strong organizational, planning, multi‑tasking, and problem‑solving skills; effective communication; detail oriented; and a demonstrated commitment to high‑quality customer service. Candidates must also be dedicated to multiculturalism and to working effectively with a diverse clientele.
This position routinely moves and carries objects weighing up to 50 pounds and performs a variety of physical tasks. It also requires availability during evening, holiday, and weekend hours, as well as occasional overnight travel with teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position.
