Position Purpose:
The Assistant Manager in Transportation supports the Transportation Manager in overseeing daily logistics and transportation operations. Their key responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling and routing, compliance monitoring, fleet management, problem-solving, budgeting, and reporting.

Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation personnel.
  • Help plan efficient delivery routes and schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Assist with vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Address operational issues, such as delays or customer complaints.
  • Support cost management and identifying opportunities for savings.
  • Prepare performance and compliance reports for management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications

Required Education:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience:
3 - 5 Years

Required Qualifications
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Familiarity with transportation regulations, fleet management, and safety standards is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:
Bachelor's Degree - Business, Logistics, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:
• At least 2–3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or management roles, with leadership experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:
• CDL - Group A - Commercial Drivers License
