Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Test Procedure Development Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. This role develops and delivers test plans and procedures to fulfill satellite systems test requirements. In addition, develop test software scripts to automate the test procedures, including automated spacecraft commanding & status verification, test equipment control, and test report generation.
The selected candidate will also develop phase procedures to document the order of test procedure execution by test phase, while validating test procedure scripts against simulator, emulator, test bed, etc. and process engineering change requests for existing test procedures.
Assists in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods. Develops simple test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk
Designs component and sub-assembly level hardware or software and uses analytical tools to verify the design
Assists in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware
Identifies solutions to basic problems and supports the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools
Supports development of test debrief material. Participates in evaluation of test performance data
Reviews test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to customer
Alerts senior engineers of off-nominal data
Prepares test reports for review
Works under general supervision
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience in software development
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with spacecraft and system level aerospace manufacturing
Experience with systems engineering requirements management and verification
Experience with performing radio frequency (RF) calibrations and testing
Experience with phased array antenna testing
Experience with digital signal processing (DSP)
Experience processing engineering change requests (ECRs)
One or more of these languages: C/C++, C#, Java, Python, Tcl/Tk
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineers (MBSE) Tools such as Cameo or Genesys
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
