The Associate Technician Production Operations for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for following established procedures for in vivo antibody production and animal care in a regulated laboratory environment.
This position is located in Maple Plain, MN and will be fully on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Animal Operations team and report to the Supervisor responsible for in vivo antibody production in a variety of large and small animal species. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Read, understand, and follow established work instructions and procedures with emphasis on quality and compliance with regulations (USDA, FDA, GMP, and ISO) and high animal welfare standards
Independently and as a team execute work regarding in vivo antibody production, including injections, venipuncture, and serum processing
Conduct quantification and pooling of animal serum in the laboratory in accordance with established procedures
The essential requirements of the job include:
AA Degree with 0-1 years of experience
Ability to work with a variety of animal species, including mice and large animals
Ability to frequently stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoors and in an animal barn environment
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Regulated industry and/or animal laboratory environments (e.g. USDA, FDA, ISO)
