Background & Purpose of the Job

The Associate Supply Planning Manager role is responsible for devising a production plan and managing the execution of the plan in order to support business needs. A Supply Planner acts as a liaison between Demand Planning and Manufacturing. It is the responsibility of the Planner to understand the business and to build a responsive network that can react to the volatility of the market while also managing inventory levels, non-finished good material availability, and waste implications. As part of the Supply Planning Team, you will need to drive initiatives to meet team goals and ensure the continuous improvement of processes and outcome. Optimize the delivery of service, inventory and production planning. Frequent and effective interaction with demand planning, factories, suppliers, procurement and logistics teams is essential.

Prepare capacity constrained supply plans using planning tools. Organize and coordinate meetings with factory building a “partner to win” relationship. Identify future customer service risk and work with the cross-functional teams to quantify and reduce impact to customers.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do

The Supply Planner is expected to be a team player. Supply Planner will understand big picture ideas and work to incorporate company-wide goals and values into our Supply Chain. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing a number of responsibilities at once and can pivot between projects with ease. Customer service is the number one priority for your day to day operational role, ensuring maximum stock availability for retailer's orders at the right Distribution Center. In times when stock supply is constrained you'll act as main liaison between the Marketing Sales Organization (MSO) and the Supply Planner, alerting the local internal teams, such as Customer Service, about restricted supply situations and recovery plans. You are responsible for ensuring the SKU level demand signal created by the US business (MSO) is produced and supplied on time and in full by the Unilever supply network. You'll manage your SKU's entire life cycle, setting up new products and managing the exit of SKU's from the Unilever range. You'll be expected to proactively identify and mitigate future risks to the business and drive this change agenda that will help us get ahead of a crisis.

The SAP platform is extensively used within the role alongside reporting packages such as Business Warehouse. you are required to be competent on a multitude of SAP transaction screens both in SAP R3 (transaction side) and Kinaxis Rapid Response (planning side)

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in supply chain, logistics, engineering or other related field required.

• A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in operational planning and Customer Service, ideally in supply chain planning.

• A highly developed set of skills in quantification and analysis

• Proficiency using Excel, Powerpoint and Microsoft Office Solutions

• Strong communication skills with an ability to deliver complex information to a variety of audiences with impact

• Creative mindset with the ability to look at a problem with a number of different perspectives and ideas for a solution

• Knowledge of SAP systems

• Knowledge of Kinaxis Rapid Response tool a plus

• APICS involvement/certification a plus

• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in straight-forward ways
