General Summary
The Associate Quality Assurance Manager supports Majors Plastics’ Quality Operating System and plays a key role in ensuring product and process compliance to all customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
This position is designed for a motivated quality professional with 3–5 years of experience who is eager to take on immediate responsibility while developing into a future leader of the quality organization.
Essential Job Functions
1. Support the Quality Operating System requirements and ensure alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
2. Prepare and deliver quality reports to management, customers, and regulatory bodies as required.
3. Assist manufacturing operations through written procedures, audits, and hands-on support to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
4. Provide training and coaching to quality team members and production staff to ensure understanding of quality standards and practices.
5. Act as a quality liaison during customer visits, audits, or off-site meetings.
6. Support the development and implementation of audit procedures, providing accurate self-assessments of organizational performance.
7. Assist in training quality personnel and reinforcing company policies and safety procedures.
8. Partner with management on quality improvement projects and cross-functional initiatives.
9. All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
1. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, or related manufacturing quality roles.
2. Familiarity with gauge control, statistical methods, and root cause problem-solving.
3. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
4. Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred (equivalent education and experience considered).
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn with the potential to grow into a higher leadership role.
Physical Requirements
1. Normal office environment with routine periods of sitting, walking, or standing.
2. The ability to travel between facilities.
3. Occasional lifting of less than 40 pounds.
