Job Overview:

Job Summary

The Associate Production Services Analyst maintains and analyzes oil and gas production and sales data to ensure accuracy across production and accounting systems, while supporting Production Operations, field personnel, and engineering teams with timely, reliable insights.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain Production data (gauge reports, oil purchase statements and gas purchase statements) input into Merrick/P2 Systems.
  • Reconcile Gauge Report Production Data with Sales or Purchase Data.
  • Maintain Gauge Report/Production/Sales files.
  • Maintain physical files in a neat and orderly system for utilization by company personnel.
  • Help other departments or operational groups by providing production, sales, and injection data as needed or required.
  • Provide Partners Production Reports and data to WI owners as requested.
  • Assist the Production Operations Department, Field Personnel, and Engineers as needed.
  • Support the Production Services Group as special projects arise.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies

  • Basic understanding and application of Excel functions
  • Experience utilizing databases such as Microsoft Access and SQL.
  • Knowledge of production accounting processes and calculations in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to promote a team environment focuses on supporting other employees to ensure departmental success.
  • Ensures accountability - Holding self and others accountable to meet commitments.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (or GED).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with production accounting software (Merrick/P2).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited College or University.
  • Previous experience with oil & gas production or revenue accounting.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
