Job Title: Associate, Production

Reports To: Manager, Manufacturing

Position Location: Charleston, SC

FLSA Status (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

The Production Associate is responsible for the production and/or packaging of a variety of manufactured products. This is a support role for several areas within manufacturing, specifically the molding and BCM areas. The position requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures; and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of this job.

Key Responsibilities:

Production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling, and stacking raw materials and finished goods.
Execute and document quality inspections per SOP.
Report defective materials, process, equipment or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Ensure work area and equipment are maintained in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow prescribed safety and housekeeping regulations.
Fork lift operation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

High School diploma or GED from an accredited learning institution, or equivalent work experience

Experience:

0-1 year prior related experience

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions
Read, analyze and interpret written instruction
Maintain production pace and standards
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Basic knowledge of computer skills
Certified or become certified in operation of forklift
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with reasonable accommodation
Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressure, within deadlines or other time essential constraints
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly and concisely communicate to all levels of the organization
Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization
