POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Associate Product Manager II will direct and coordinate strategic and tactical marketing activities that support sales volume and profit objectives for the Branded Flavor Solutions French's condiments business. This role will have responsibility for the profitability, promotion, pricing, packaging, distribution, research and new product plans, and will work closely with Sales, Customer Marketing, Commercialization, Insights, Finance, Product Development and Supply Chain/Operations to execute growth-driving plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute plans to address key issues and opportunities for the condiments business.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations leveraging market data and operator insights. Exercise discretion regarding data and sources, analytical conclusions and strategic recommendations.
  • Independently lead cross functional teams (project management).
  • Understand competitive brand threat and develop action plans to address.
  • Monitor effectiveness of new item distribution and make recommendations to optimize when appropriate.
  • Execute the promotional calendar consistent with the marketing plan, monitor effectiveness and make recommendations to optimize when appropriate.
  • Develop and manage brand budget with guidance from the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Deliver business presentations to brokers, customers or leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS in Marketing or related field
  • Prior marketing experience required ; consumer packaged goods preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading and championing business plan recommendations
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of marketing concepts
  • Strong analytical thinking needed to resolve issues in a variety of complex situations, leveraging analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Strong business acumen, including how key drivers impact business, how to deliver against key performance and financial indicators
  • Ability to lead internal and external teams to ensure collaboration, alignment and efficient resource management to successfully achieve objectives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to present and communicate with customers and senior management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA
  • Food industry experience
  • Branded Foodservice experience
