This position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and safe driving record. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, observing flocks, executing company programs and policies, ordering feed, pulling blood and fat, vaccinating (must be able to carry a back-pack sprayer weighing 50 pounds), maintaining nutrient management compliance, maintaining animal welfare compliance and documentation. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual. The goal of this position is to learn the aspects of Live Production to be promoted to a technical advisor or supervisor. This position must maintain flexibility as one may be asked to work in different departments, broiler, breeder, feed mill, or hatchery.


Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred, preferably agriculture related.

Experience: Experience in agriculture and animal husbandry is a plus.

Communication Skills: This position requires good communication and people skills to collaborate with management, growers, peers, other departments and the customer.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are necessary.

Travel is minimal; 1 to 5 trips per year.
