Job Summary

The Associate MTS Electrical is responsible for designing, developing, modifying, troubleshooting and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. This position works on problems of diverse scope.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, procure, build, support, integrate, and deliver customer specific specialized technical solutions for high-end capital dispensing equipment in a high pace deadline driven factory environment.

  • Create new and update existing technical documentation. Technical documentation can include: Assembly Documentation, Field Procedures, BOMs, System Block Diagrams, Schematic Drawings, PCA Documentation, cable drawings, etc.

  • Support design change evaluations related to obsolescence, component shortages or manufacturability issues

  • Provide technical escalation support for the Field Service organization including identification of replacement parts.

  • Troubleshoot and support production tooling, test equipment, and electrical component related quality issues

  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Requires a BS EE degree and 0-2 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience

  • Self-driven, highly resourceful, independent, adaptable, decisive, strong sense of ownership.

  • Able to work in a fast-pace strong engineering team.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills towards all levels within the organization (e.g., ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical personnel).

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Understanding of capital equipment machine from a system level.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficiency in Altium: Schematic Drawings, PCB design

  • Proficiency with computer systems, OEM industrial electronic equipment, sensors, relays, power supplies, etc.

  • Proficiency in using common electrical testing equipment and tools: oscilloscope, multimeter, etc

  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical fabrication techniques, material selection, electromechanical systems, automation, lean manufacturing, DFM, high volume manufacturing, robotics, and computers
