Your Role:

The Associate Manager, Consumer Media Channel will contribute to helping shape and inform where and how to win in for the North American Tea brands including Lipton, Tazo, Pukka and PG Tips. This role is dedicated to informing the US business from a Consumer Media Channel lens and will report to the Head of CMC, Americas. You will be a key part in driving Net Revenue Management, channel strategy and effectiveness. This role requires business partnering skills to be the key CMC interface with other cross functionals and to develop relationships with the larger ecosystem – across local and global marketing, sales, Digital Hub teams, etc. and bringing best practices forward on performance with emphasis on growth.

Your Key Tasks:

As the Associate Manager, Consumer Media Channel, you will strategically create a market research agenda that is focused on creating growth opportunities for Lipton, Tazo, Pukka and other brands across US, including proactively bringing insights to help shape the portfolio, qualitative and quantitative research leadership, and supporting initiatives to unlock growth opportunities. Lead in-market tracking/optimizations for market specific campaigns (in partnership with the PDC/media agencies) and uncover learnings and insights and embed into future campaign planning:

  • Partner with an analytic team to understand ROI drivers of the market/category

  • Partner with IRI, Numerator, Kantar/Millward Brown to understand category trends and opportunities

  • Partner with the People Data Centre to understand category and channel insights

In this role you will be responsible for proactively identifying local consumer, shopper and market trends related to the tea category and use these trends to drive strategic and tactical opportunities. As the Associate Manager, Consumer Media Channel, you will become an indispensable business partner to the ekaterra Marketing Director and marketing team. You will be a critical member of the US business, responsible for shaping, managing and executing the research agenda to identify local growth opportunities that shape the local strategies for the portfolio. This will include distilling information from primary and secondary research or delivering original research, with clear recommendations and actions the business should take to drive growth. You will drive these insights into decision making. You will be responsible for local performance initiatives within ekaterra. You will be responsible for inspiring research suppliers to consistently deliver their best efforts: deliver actionable, clear, value-added understanding. Gain expertise in tools and support the upskill business partners to ensure they are making full use of these tools.

  • You’re a storyteller: who can display Brand and Consumer insight & expertise, relentlessly applying this knowledge to drive growth as well as infuse this knowledge across stakeholders, distilling various data sources into one clear story to provoke action.

  • You’re a dot connector: You will develop true partnership via frequent dialogue with multiple brand teams, category teams, customer, R&D and the broader Consumer, Media and Channel Insights team to portfolio strategy, brand positioning, customer and channel strategy, and more.

Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years Consumer Media Channel experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Solid understanding of market research and differences between syndicated and panel data resources

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrable track record of outstanding partnership with business partners and stakeholders, communication, on time and in full delivery, strong point of view, identification of growth opportunities

  • Constant learning to keep pace with the environment and lead it. Being updated on best-in-class research across topics of interest and the ability to land a message to the satisfaction of all stakeholders is key

  • Be comfortable working as part of a highly vocal and engaged cross functional team

  • Deliver and drive transformational action within the business through key landing points and influencing senior stakeholders

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and communication skills to present clearly, simplify complex topics and influence decision making; communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritize workload

  • A team player; accountable, open minded who likes to work in rapid and agile way
