Job Description Qualifications:
The Boeing Company is looking for an Associate Information Architect based out of Mesa, Arizona.
The Information Services (IS) team helps Boeing employees’ access, organize, analyze, manage and distribute information. IS optimizes the latest developments in information management strategies to support Boeing innovation and competitiveness, delivering high quality, cost effective solutions across the global enterprise.
This role requires a high degree of accountability, integrity, motivation, discipline, energy, attention to detail displaying solutions-oriented thinking, communication, collaboration and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with some project management experience and is able to support cross functional teams in a dynamic environment where well-defined processes are sometimes lacking.
Perform daily information architecture tasks assigned and support governance of semantic data as a strategic asset based on project requirements
Provide classification services across the enterprise for tagging of unstructured data
Work with business partners across the enterprise ensuring that the right information gets to the right people at the right time to maximize the value proposition to support Boeing customers
Ensure the proper management of information through the information lifecycle
Support information modelling solutions.
Support the creation of process documentation such as training materials on vocabulary management and semantic interoperability

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience with Information Systems / Technology, Software Product or Project Management (university coursework applies)
Experience in taxonomy development
Experience with data governance
Experience with business problem identification, data collection and preparation, interpretation and problem solving
Experience in a role that required excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Ability to support special projects displaying an aptitude for vocabulary management
Graduate level understanding in vocabulary management, taxonomy, information architecture, data science, computational linguistics or applied computer engineering
Experience in and knowledge of semantic modeling and familiarity working with SKOS, OWL, SPARQL and RDF
Professional experience or demonstrated knowledge in aerospace, engineering, or another fields of science & technology.
Some exposure with SPARQL and natural language processing and semantic artificial intelligence
Familiarity with coding languages, especially XML and mark-up languages is strongly preferred
Familiarity with Windows CMD line / Powershell scripting
Excel proficiency; comfortable with manipulating and transforming data is desirable
Basic database or information management software application experience
Experience using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience , 7 years' related work experience, etc.).
