Maxar is currently seeking an Associate GIS Demand Analyst to join our team in Longmont, CO.

Your Project: In this role, you will be responsible for supporting tasking, ordering and tracking our internal demand. Aggregating our demand in manner that maximizes our constellations efficiency. The Associate Demand Analyst identifies data required for product generation to include commercial imagery source, ground control, elevation data and other sources. Provides interdepartmental interfaces between operations, customer service, sales and marketing for production status and order processing while managing and collaborating our demand. The Associate Demand Analyst utilizes a combination of proprietary and commercial-off-the-shelf software suites to perform work required.

What you'll do day-to-day (with your colleagues):
- Evaluate and select source material for imagery projects
- Perform imagery quality assessment on proprietary software
- Manage ordering & delivery components including AWS and FTP
- Provide effective communication with team members, cross-departmental staff and customers regarding status, milestones, issues and resolution
- Perform basic order entry processes in support of product fulfillment
- GIS system development and maintenance related to inventory management and project status
- Provide support outside of regular shifts as required to support a 24/7 Operations environment
Minimum requirements for this position:
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, remote sensing, GIS, or a related field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
- Minimum of 2 years working with ArcMap or other GIS applications
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, emphasis in Excel
These skills would be amazing
- Basic SQL, Python, Unix/Linux knowledge a plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with remote sensing products and applications
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to support time-sensitive requirements
- Experience developing corrective actions and preventative solutions
- Knowledgeable in resource management
- Managing deadlines and prioritize workloads
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives
The compensation range for this position is $19.13 to $31.88 hourly, dependent on skills and experience.
