Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking an Associate Equipment & Tooling Design Engineer in Mesa, AZ.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supports the evaluation of program and project requirements, develops moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.

• Compiles and analyzes technical data to determine the effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for equipment and tooling.

• Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.

• Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares.

• Conducts training for Production and Maintenance personnel.

• Develops and implements moderately complex work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.

• Supports studies for disposition of assets.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. Priority will be given to those with active Security Clearances.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 1 or more years of experience in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Tool Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Proven leadership and collaboration expertise

• Experience in Unigraphics NX or equivalent CAD system

• DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain

• 1 or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Composite tooling design and/or fabrication experience

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
