Job Title: Engineer

Summary of Position:
Alcon is looking to hire for Engineer to join our team at Johns Creek, Georgia in United States. You will be responsible for supporting engineers in the design, modification, and improvement of products/processes. Activities include but are not limited to, identifying and recommending improvements/preventive actions, inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and systems. Monitors processes, estimates costs, makes or verifies calculations, analyzes and interprets data. Tests new and modified products, processes, and/or systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Drafts reports to document related activities
Makes use of problem-solving tools to perform thorough investigation of non-conforming events
Drafts and routes standard operating procedures as required
Drives effective actions for compliance within the agreed timelines
Ensures continual quality system compliance by adherence to established and evolving QS requirements.
Ensures reduction in rate of recurring deviations
Plans, drafts, and executes engineering studies in Pilot area
Performs data analysis
Implement approved change requests and ELN templates
Support employee cross function training
Support building up and maintaining a strong team within Pilot Operations to handle production workload (e.g. Lens inspectors, Molding Support, GxP Lab, other Departments)
Identify simplification opportunities in Pilot area
Assign daily task to lead and Pilot techs
Provide support needed to daily activities
Maintain short-term and long-term schedules
Communicate / update team change to daily activities
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs).
The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
Work hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
Travel Requirements: 5% (domestic) and 5% (international)
