Job Overview:

Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

  • R&D Formulation Development: Assist in      collaborating with R&D to refine and optimize formulations for      production scale. 
  • Commercialization & Process Scale-up: Transition      laboratory-scale formulations into commercial production while ensuring      consistency and cost-efficiency.
  • Analytical Techniques & Testing: Guide the      implementation of the analytical testing strategies to assess product      quality, stability, and performance throughout the development cycle.
  • Customer Collaboration: with clients to      understand their requirements, by suggesting process improvements and      guidance during product evaluation and development phases. Develop an      understanding of the federal, state, and local regulations to ensure      compliance. 
  • Project Management: Work with the      R&D and production team, to understand project timelines, to ensure      timelines are met, and quality standards are adhered to.
  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical      process support for the team by troubleshooting issues related to      formulations and processes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze      experimental data and prepare comprehensive reports that summarize      findings, insights, and recommendations for customers.
  • Documentation      & Compliance: Maintain proper documentation of      all process engineering activities and ensure compliance with the company      and industry standards, and quality control. Ensure      that all work complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety      regulations.
  • Cross-Functional      Collaboration:      Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to      facilitate the seamless transition from lab scale to production scale.


  Qulaifcations: 

  • Education: Engineering degree (chemical engineering      preferred) with 1-5 years of experience (or related field) from an      accredited institution.
  • Experience: Bachelor of Science in engineering with 1-5 years      of experience (chemical engineering preferred).  
  • Project Management: Strong      organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work on      multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deliverables are met on      time. 
  • Customer-Facing Experience: Proven ability to      communicate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders and      collaborate effectively with customers to meet their needs. Collaborate      with academia, industry, and vendors to facilitate product development.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on      experience in product development and scaling is a plus. Ensure that all      work complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety      regulations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to      identify and resolve technical challenges in formulations and processes      while maintaining quality standards.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to      detail with the ability to maintain accurate and thorough documentation      and records.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Ability to work      effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Experience in lab-scale product      development and production.
  • Develop knowledge of regulations      and quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO).
  • Previous experience working in a      contract research organization (CRO) or similar service-based environment      is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for      scientific discovery and innovation.
  • Effective communication skills,      both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well under      pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic and driven to      deliver high-quality results.
