We are seeking an Associate Director / Director of Global Payroll to join the Accounting Operations Team to support our rapid growth and global expansion. The role will provide strategic and business leadership in evaluating and establishing entity-wide payroll solutions and processes and will oversee the execution of all payroll activities. The successful candidate is experienced in global payroll operations and innovative solutions that deliver best in class service and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.  This role reports to the Sr. Director, Accounting Operations, oversees the corporate payroll team, and provides a unique opportunity to be a key part of building the roadmap for our global payroll activities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and shape the current and long-term strategic vision for the entire payroll function; assess current processes and systems, evaluate the need for global shared services; identify best practices in payroll administration and automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional (Human Resources, IT, Finance, Legal) and intercompany business partners to plan, design and implement best in class people processing systems, tools, time-keeping systems and solutions
  • Lead corporate and new country payroll initiatives, including the selection of scalable global payroll solutions and design of payroll processing activities
  • Ensure payroll processing accuracy, timeliness and compliance with US and global laws and regulations; ensure compliance with internal policies and SOX controls for all payroll related processes
  • Oversee payroll related data entry into ERP financial systems; support related month end close activities and reconciliations
  • Support the development, growth, and overall success of the global payroll team
  • Enhance organizational payroll policies and practices, drive standardization and efficiencies, ensure appropriate documentation of processes
  • Responsible for payroll system configuration and alignment between systems, data flow, and interrelated processes; lead reporting initiatives and system enhancements
  • Partner internally and with third party providers to ensure payroll related benefits such as equity grants, 401k, and other programs are administered timely and accurately, and reported correctly

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years related experience, including 5 years managing payroll related activities
  • Global payroll experience
  • B.S. degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency with systems and system implementations, preferably SAP, UKG and Workday
  • Demonstrated written and verbal ability to communicate clearly and with internal clients and individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Understands the importance of being a support service function and builds stakeholder relationships
  • Strong leader with ability to coach and develop team members
  • Proactive, makes independent assessments and presents possible solutions timely
  • Acts with integrity, understands internal controls within Accounting Operations
  • Problem solver
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and have a working knowledge of other MS Office Software
