This role will have accountability as the WW Medical Associate Director supporting the Thoracic Cancers team, reporting to the WW Medical Oncology Thoracic/ H&N Cancers Lead. He/she will participate in the cross functional matrix teams to provide scientific and medical support on behalf of WW Medical as well as development and execution of the WW Medical Thoracic Cancers strategy (communication, publication, and ISR strategy).
Supporting development of medical strategy; leading symposia, congress, and advisory board meeting planning;
Providing medical input for development of booths, congress materials, and medical information letters;
Supporting the execution of publication strategy (abstracts, manuscripts, and congress presentations).
He/she will partner closely with medical colleagues in the Markets, with Clinical Research, Regulatory, Commercial, Access, Health Outcomes, Publications, and other key functions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate will have an advance degree (MD, PhD, or Pharm.D.) with clinical or industry experience 3-5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (medical affairs or clinical development),
Broad experience in oncology with specific expertise in immune-based therapy for cancer and expertise in the execution of clinical trials.
The candidate should also have experience working with national and regional physician thought leaders in the area of oncology, strong analytical skills, an ability to evaluate scientific data and medical literature and extrapolate them appropriately medical, marketing, or sales programs
Strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams including clinical, commercialization, regulatory and early discovery , and should be highly organized and motivated individual with ability to develop and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, possessing excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
