What is my role type?

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Position Overview:

Military Engines (ME) is seeking an experienced business leader to develop, plan, and execute strategies for the Sustainment Operations organization.

The key job responsibilities include:

  • Utilize different technologies to transform the Sustainment Operations business through automation, integration of data systems, and creation of a digital thread. Benchmark data systems and technologies that are already being utilized within other PW business units and other divisions at Raytheon Technologies. Partner with organization leaders to create and implement these plans.
  • Provide recommended systems, processes, data & analysis for improved decision support, operational readiness, and fleet maintenance for ME programs. This will involve developing enhanced digital tools, digitizing processes, and driving improved data quality for our systems.
  • Work closely with the different Sustainment Operations groups to develop strategies for Depot Network Standardization, Operations Readiness, Warehousing, Repair Readiness, Global Asset Management, Visual Factory, Support Equipment Fleet Management, and Forecasting. Support the organization to develop short term and long term strategies to deliver on the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) ramp.
  • Collaborate with business process owners, leadership team members, and subject matter experts to improve value stream processes, drive efficiencies/affordability, and define scalable solutions in our sustainment strategies. This also involves helping define metrics, key process indicators, and scorecards/dashboards.
  • Support developing core depot capabilities for capacity planning, data analytics, and operations excellence.
  • Develop sustainment strategies for next generation engine programs.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen cyber readiness and resilience.
  • Guide the Sustainment Operations organizations to prepare for technology insertion, sustainment, and modernization at every depot interval.
  • Lead transformation for Sustainment Operations
  • Utilize CORE operating system to drive efficiencies, develop lean processes, and reduce rework / turn time.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business, engineering, business administration or project management or other related field and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
  • 10+ years of experience in business leadership, development, planning, and support
  • Ability to work with executives and other business leaders to execute their vision and sustainment strategy.
  • Experience working with complex, service-driven, technical programs and organizations.
  • Highly process focused and ACE/CORE proficient. Ability to identify root causes for key issues, assess their impact, and develop resolution options and strategies to meet customer requirements.
  • Strong business acumen and leadership experience - proven track record.
  • Ability to influence and manage the expectations of diverse stakeholders across ME different programs and matrix organizations.
  • Strategic communication skills, and project management experience are required foundational skill sets.
  • US citizenship required due to government contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to analyze and use available tools to quickly evaluate problems leading to proven solutions.
  • Exceptional teamwork skills and the ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities at once, and work with incomplete/changing requirements.
  • Program Management Certification (Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience in managing digital systems and/or digital projects is preferred.
  • Experience in managing many diverse personal relationships, provide clear expectations of the business and drive accountability and results.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand complex business processes, and connect diverse data points to create a strategy.
  • Strong problem solver, business savvy, and creative solution designer.
