Associate Director, Strategic Enterprise
About the role:
The Associate Director (AD) of Strategic Enterprise will manage and influence change, identify future development opportunities, provide strategic input into the brand teams and associated partners, develop curriculum for prioritized capabilities, assess resourcing requirements, manage projects, and evaluate impact. A key important aspect of the role is community-building programs to strengthen relationships through sharing of best practices across the US Business Unit. This individual will work closely with various levels of brand leadership as well as partner closely with Commercial Learning & Development and other cross-functional partners within the US and sometimes with Global teams. This will require experience across a variety of business and marketing competencies, community-building, a strong ability to communicate effectively, drive organizational change, and influence without authority. This role is strategic in nature and therefore will require an ability to comfortably work with new trends and "white space" to define strategies for building future capabilities; while also focused on realizing the strategic enterprise capability strategy through excellent execution, management of the strategic roadmap and building a stronger community of learners.
How you will contribute:
Act as the subject matter expert to inform the development of the curriculum for enterprise partners across all four Business Units in Takeda USBU and functional teams.
Partner with the brands and cross-functional partners to pull through and embed strategic and tactical concepts, processes and tools.
Support the ongoing development and execution of the strategic enterprise capabilities roadmap and key initiatives.
Maintain an external and customer-facing focus to evaluate new trends and opportunities for the business. Have an innovative mindset.
Consult brand and functional teams on commercial processes such as but not limited to, Ready-To-Compete, Building Data & Digital Literacy, Finance Acumen, Launch Excellence and Design Thinking.
Execute and deliver training across the USBU to enable learning in the flow of work
Expand communities of practice to build connections across the life cycle of a product from early launch and launch phase through sustaining efforts. Community connectedness will have a multi-faceted and strategic approach including the Torii Commercial Hub, the Commercial Insider experience as well as other community networks to accelerate change.
Support pull-through of career pathing resources and initiatives to cultivate exceptional people experience to lead to commercial excellence for the USBU
Manage Organizational Change Management (OCM) initiatives such as communications, impact evaluation, community building initiatives, and mitigation of organization obstacles.
Connect enterprise-wide partners to each other and to solutions to improve the work we do and ultimately achieve our customer and business goals. Agility needed in developing best-practice sharing through events, forums, learning series and other new ways to build community engagement.
Own the development of the quarterly Commercial Capabilities Scorecard.
Minimum of seven (7) years of commercial experience required with a variety of commercial roles
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and skills necessary to lead through change and influence without authority. Ability to present and facilitate.
Demonstrates leadership, influencing and coaching skills required
Demonstrates strategic and critical thinking, as well as problem solving skills
Demonstrates ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a matrix environment
Strong organizational, planning and project management skills–ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and develop workflow processes and tasks for multiple projects
Proficient using MS Office suite with a demonstrated strength in PowerPoint
Experience with Brand Planning and Insights Generation processes
Previous Commercial Capabilities or Organizational Change Management experience
