Pratt & Whitney’s Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) organization is seeking a highly motivated, experienced employee to join the Engine Master Scheduling Team in this exciting and challenging role. Our team actively supports Pratt & Whitney’s growth products engaging in a collaborative work environment to enable schedule change management, data visibility / analysis of customer demand and supply capacity to maximize fleet readiness and PW financial expectations by creating / maintaining the demand signal for master scheduled items.

The SIOP Associate Director, Master Scheduling - Engines will be responsible for the leading a team to manage the Engine Master schedule for all engine programs. Using inputs from the build plan and contracts, Engine Master Scheduling (EMS) utilizes scheduling guidelines to create an executable Master Production Schedule (MPS) for all OEM Commercial and Military engines along with any necessary hardware. This MPS drives material requirements (MRP) and provides a production plan that operations can execute to.

The successful candidate will manage and develop a team of people and will have visibility and presentation responsibility to senior management. This person will interface with leadership teams across both Pratt & Whitney Commercial and Military Engines, requiring coordination of multiple functional support groups such as Programs, Operations & Supply Chain, Sales, IT, and Finance. Strong business acumen, operations, and data analytics background required. The successful candidate is also expected to develop and lead the team by leveraging P&W Leadership Operating Model principles and the CORE Operating System.


Planning and control of master scheduling processes and activities for Commercial & Military programs.

Develop feasible master production schedule proposals that support customer requirements and align with production capabilities, while considering schedule stability and inventory impact.

Execute approved schedule changes into SAP utilizing standard work processes and sales order structure that drives demand for correct configuration.

Prepare schedule summaries and perform other analytical activities in support of Sales Inventory & Operations Planning, MPS Review Board and escalation meetings.

Responsible for producing monthly MRP Performance Metrics.

Ensuring compliance with USG Regulations including but not limited to DFARs (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.) and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration).

Participate in value stream activities to support new business and process improvements.

Daily interaction with individuals and groups outside of the SI&OP organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience or advanced degree with 8 or more years of experience

  • Experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Program, Project or Program Management and Material Planning required

  • Must have ability to derive insights from detailed analysis and complex data, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills combined with the ability to communicate, present to, and influence all levels of the organization

  • SAP experience is recommended

  • Aerospace production and/or MRO industry experience preferred.

  • APICs Certification a plus

  • Must be US Citizen due to government contracts

  • Travel Requirements <10%
