Job Title: Associate Director, Search & Retail Media (Head of Search and Retail Media)

Job Grade: Associate Director (Grade 70)

Department: Commercial (Sales & Marketing)

Reports To: Associate Vice President, Connected eCommerce (Head of Connected Commerce Acceleration)

Role Summary

We are a high growth company with power brands like Trojan, Arm & Hammer, First Response, Vitafusion, Batiste, and many more. About 15% of our total revenue today comes from digital commerce and we are looking for a nimble, curious, growth mindset leader that can help us outpace the growth in our categories with major retailers.

You will partner closely with our marketing and sales teams, digital and media agencies, and strategic third-party vendors to measure, optimize and scale growth from retail media and search excellence.

You are a high performing, strategic thinker with the ability to roll up the sleeves and dive deep for execution excellence. You are someone with a growth mindset and one who truly thrives in an agile and fast-paced work environment with autonomy to drive outcomes.

And here are some of the core job responsibilities and skills that we are looking for:

  • You have SME knowledge and passion for search, retail media and have demonstrated experience in leading ideas, collaborating and executing with key agencies.
  • You are a thought leader that will inspire brands, sales teams, and leadership on how to think beyond ROAS and optimize our campaigns to the right KPIs to drive long term growth
  • You are on top of all the latest platform trends and technologies across major retailers (Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart etc.) as well as emerging platforms
  • You have experience and will lead in managing varied categories, SKUs and keyword landscape across a diverse portfolio
  • Develop retail search strategies to support product awareness, brand/category priorities and complement retailer-specific promotional strategies.
  • You will partner with eCommerce analytics lead to report, optimize on paid share of search and true ROI of investment and with Digital Shelf excellence lead to analyze keyword trends, SEO optimizations and maximize total share of voice
  • You will act as an internal specialist for the organization to help build up organizational competences, but also to help keep a pulse on trending topics/keywords to connect with shoppers and unveil potential opportunities
  • You have a performance mindset driven approach and continually assess what’s working, what’s not working using data, analytics and storytelling to constantly optimize our approach to search and retail media so we are maximizing every platform and touchpoint
  • You enjoy defining the metrics, delivering growth and then restating the metrics in pursuit of new growth. You will maintain agency partnerships, prioritize effort and ongoing optimization of campaigns
  • You have a bias for action and always strive to test and learn new A/B scenarios
  • You are passionate about constantly improving process and reporting to ensure the organization is using resources (internal and external) to their full potential

We will consider fully remote with occasional travel to our corporate office in Ewing NJ

Education and Experience || Skills and Competencies .

  • BS / BA Marketing or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in paid search and retail media
  • Experience with campaign management platforms (e.g. Skai, Pacvue, Commerce IQ, Stackline etc.) or other similar products
  • Exceptional project management experience with experience in managing multiple agency and 3rd party relationships
  • You liaise well external parties, consulting firms, other CPG, industry leaders and digitally native companies - to keep an eye on ‘what good looks like’ across the sector
  • Highly curious on all things digital marketing, eCommerce and consumer experience. We seek energy, enthusiasm, willingness and ability to raise the bar
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
