Contribute to a cross-functional needs assessment, design, implementation, and facilitation of curricula that supports excellence in our corporate office leaders. The broad client scope of your work will include aspiring leaders through to Director and VP roles within USBU.
Oversee the execution and evaluation of all aspects of the leader development programming.
Partner with the Director of USBU Leader Development to execute continuous improvement and robust program and performance impact measures. Programs will effectively instill Takeda leadership behaviors and values, coaching/mentoring skills, and identify trends in the evolution of work that affects high-performing leadership roles through a modern learner approach.
Responsible for the execution of Takeda's USBU leader development programming curriculum for aspiring, 1st & 2nd line, executive, and leaders
Provide recommendations, solutions, and partnerships to Directors and Vice Presidents of USBU businesses on strategic and tactical leadership improvements
Ensure that the programming content aligns with business goals and HR and Talent strategy by assessing current and future development gaps using performance/needs analysis, 180/360 feedback, internal advisory groups, and partnership with USBU leadership
Deliver and coaches leaders and executives in the outcomes of 180/360 feedback instruments. Supports the creation of individual development plans
Engage stakeholders and co-creates content to drive leadership performance
Follow a values-based approach to leadership education and development, based on Takeda leadership behaviors/values and general leadership principles
Execute plans using contemporary learning approaches, designing and implementing long-term programs focused on a combination of formal instruction, experiential learning, coaching, and development experiences
Partner with the Field Leadership and Development to ensure synergy and standardization of crucial leadership initiatives
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of all phases of the USBU leadership programs and utilizes compiled facts and data to make appropriate modifications where necessary
Identify and customize content with external vendors and consultants to expand development initiatives to bring high-quality services and materials to meet program needs
Manage assigned budget to operationalize development and learning strategies
Minimum 8 years of experience in a leadership development role or L&D
At least three years of people management experience
At least three years of experience in Learning and Development.
Experience executing leader development programs
Ability to set priorities, deliver on deadlines, and develop workflow processes and tasks in an evolving, dynamic marketplace
Understand and connect the latest adult learning techniques and issues in large organizations to deliver tailored strategies and frameworks to a diverse set of stakeholders
Understanding of modern learning approaches
Experience in coaching either on the job or certified at all levels in the organization. Knowledge of various leadership assessments and ability to coach and debrief program participants.
Management level role in Learning and Development preferred
Experience as a second-line leader preferred
Lead leadership development programs preferred
Extensive experience with instructional design preferred
Life sciences/pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
