The Role

Moderna is seeking an innovative Global University and Campus Programs leader to join our Global Talent Acquisition team. This role is an exciting opportunity to grow and enhance our University Programs and Partnerships to support Moderna’s future growth. University recruitment is a key part of our talent strategy as we build an organization of exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds to deliver the promise of mRNA medicines to patients. This role provides a broad range of exposure across Moderna Leadership and HR team and will be a great opportunity to meaningfully contribute to our organizational growth and maturity of the Talent Acquisition team and programs. This position has the flexibility to work between our Cambridge and Norwood, MA campuses and flexibility to work from home a few days per week.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • You will ‘behave like an owner’ to develop Moderna’s University Relations and Recruitment strategy to best fit the current and future needs of our business – globally. Partner with HR and business stakeholders to determine hiring needs and translate them into a comprehensive recruiting strategy.

  • You will ‘push past possible’ to ensure belonging, inclusion and diversity initiatives are embedded throughout our recruitment strategies and Intern & Co-Op programing.

  • You will ‘pursue options in parallel’ to drive growth of University Recruitment at Moderna to include: International University Relationships and Recruitment, ‘Point of Entry’ Hiring Programs, Post-Doc and Fellowship Programs, MBA Rotational Program and beyond.

  • You will ‘question convention’; to transform Moderna’s Co-Op & Intern programs to become a strategic feeder to point of entry programs:

    • Manage relationships with Leaders and HR Business Partners to plan for Co-Op and Intern Hiring.

    • Coordinate and communicate with Senior Leadership and the HR Team on strategic programming and Co-Op and Intern program updates.

    • Plan and execute annual Intern and Co-Op programming including Lunch and Learns, Presentations and Networking & Social Events.

    • Serve as main point of contact for Moderna with University career services and Co-Op programs.

  • Plan and coordinate strategic Executive Committee and Leadership Team participation in university relationships and events.

  • You will ‘digitize everywhere’ to drive Moderna to be an industry leading, disruptive global TA organization in our approach to University Relations and Recruitment. Digitize everywhere possible to scale the program and democratize access to student opportunities at Moderna.

  • You will ‘remove viscosity’ to ensure results and find opportunities for continuous improvement and evolution as the program evolves.

  • Build relationships across the business including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, HR Operations, HR Business Partners, Procurement, Legal and Digital and pull together work teams to ensure our campus programs are branded appropriately and all processes are streamlined, compliant, and digitally enabled to allow for an exceptional student experience

  • Bring the outside in by scanning the landscape and engaging with relevant professional groups including NACE.

  • You will ‘act with dynamic range’ to mentor and develop a small team, cultivating a culture of innovation, inclusion, and FUN.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of progressive experience managing campus or talent programs in an in-house role

  • 3+ years of hands-on recruiting experience within a University Program (Interns, Co-Ops and Point of Entry roles)

  • 2+ years’ experience running Diversity conferences and/or recruiting events with student organizations focused on celebrating diversity.

  • Exceptional project management experience and proven experience leading Talent Acquisition programs that have a tangible impact on the business. Ability to be flexible between our Cambridge, MA or Norwood, MA campuses 2-3 days/week and attend recruitment and networking events during evenings as required and travel as needed for university events/visits.

  • Global biopharma or high-tech industries preferred.

  • Experience managing Leadership Development Programs.

  • Experienced in project management and presentation tools such Smartsheet or other productivity tools, and PowerPoint
