Job Overview:

The Associate Director of Forecasting and Analytics, Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis will be responsible for leading all forecasting and analytics activities, short and long term, for the Multiple Sclerosis and Rheumatoid Arthritis and portfolios within Sanofi Genzyme. This person will be an integral partner to the leadership, product and commercial team as a key component to this role will be integrating and determining the short and long-range trajectories for Sanofi Genzyme’s MS and RA portfolios, and providing insights on how opportunities/threats may impact performance to help guide the short and long term strategy of the franchises. The position will report to the Global Head of Forecasting for Sanofi Genzyme.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Lead MS and RA forecasting and analytics activities and bring key data-driven business insights to leaders within the commercial organization in a proactive manner

  • Collaborate with global brand teams, regions and markets as well as new product planning and business developmentto define and assess opportunities, threats and evaluate assets of interest

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Market Research, Competitive Intelligence, Value and Access, Data management and leadership to ensure information and insights are being cascaded throughout the commercial organizations and supporting functions

  • Collaborate with commercial and finance leadership to define and quantify the impact of market opportunities and threats across the two portfolios

  • Create objective patient/volume/revenue outlook and work with BUs to create accurate forecasts (Budget and LRP/Strategic Planning) and lead the strategic planning process for the MS and RA portfolios

  • Generation & management of brand specific dashboards and reporting. Liasoning with Analytics vendors as needed.

  • Provide monthly coordination with Supply Chain – near/long term outlook and key risks and opportunities to help ensure appropriate decisions are made

  • Coordinate with Market Research (forecasting research, e.g. conjoint and discrete choice exercises)

  • Contribute to monthly patient reporting, analytics, and forecasting review deck for operations and commercial leadership; provide monthly updates to the business unit and leadership– outlook vs. forecast (integrating performance, analytics, CI, etc.)

  • Consolidate and summarizes data for ad hoc analysis, e.g. ROI analysis

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of Pharmaceutical Analytics/Forecasting or related experience is required

  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IMS, WK, Syndicated data sources).

  • Strong proven leadership, analytical and communication skills required

  • Thorough knowledge of and a high skill level in advanced analytics and project management

  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, filtering, vlookup and macros)

  • Ability to self-manage time and to meet deadlines

  • Possess very strong strategic awareness skillset

  • Demonstrated the ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners

  • Ability to understand and influence decisions of senior management

  • Detailed and structured thought process

  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels in the organization

  • Promotes a good working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and staff

  • Proactive in nature, actively participates and self-motivated

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA, PhD, MD or other relevant Advanced Degree

  • 2+ years consulting experience

  • Experience in Specialty or Rare Disease

  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence/ forecasting tools (e.g. Qlikview, Anaplan) and/or expertise in R, Python, etc. also highly valued
