Associate Director ESG will establish and support strategic direction for Lantheus ESG programs by building upon current initiatives, developing strategic proposals and advancing corporate goals.  The AD will drive development, implementation and compliance by partnering with functional business leaders. This position will provide continual oversight of our ESG programs and help guide corporate decision-making from a corporate sustainability perspective in alignment with the strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • The Associate Director will report to the Vice President of Environmental Health and Safety and will work with Lantheus corporate ESG leadership and functions.
  • Initial focus on SEC environmental reporting compliance. Develop process and reporting capability to track and assess Lantheus climate related risks and impacts based on TCFD disclosure framework.
  • Aggregate required disclosure information drawing upon GHG Protocol, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions.
  • Aggregate supporting data and develop metrics supporting climate related impacts, expenditures, estimates and assumptions to support reporting compliance.
  • Develop strategic direction and programs to support ESG initiatives approved by the corporate Sustainability Committee  
  • Support functional alignment and confirm Committee strategy implementation across Lantheus. Collaborating with other working groups and functions on corporate sustainability and ESG matters relating to business operations, capital investments, diversity and inclusion, enterprise risk management, ethics and compliance, human capital management and other relevant areas
  • Establish compliance verification capabilities through internal or third party verification resources in accordance with SEC requirements.
  • Support design and implementation of policies, practices and procedures that align with Sustainability and ESG strategies.
  • AD will stay apprised of sustainability-related and ESG- related trends and developments.
  • Continually identify specific risks and opportunities and provide timely escalation.
  • Develop relevant internal and external communications and disclosures;

Experience

  • Corporate ESG metric reporting experience with strong comprehension of data accumulation, carbon accounting, and executive level presentation.
  • Understanding of fundamental ESG disclosure requirements at a corporate level.
  • Ability to collaborate with various business functions and drive change.
  • Executive level reporting experience to include annual sustainability progress, opportunity proposals, risk identification and key results of quarterly standings.   

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a sustainability-related degree and/or MBA, or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in related positions
  • Project Management Professional certification a plus.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate others to achieve results through facilitation and consensus building.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and attention to detail, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different internal functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
