About the role:
As the Associate Director, Data Operations, you will lead the review and recommendation of data tools and platforms for the USBU. You will partner with the business to assess business needs and work across stakeholders to continue to assess external environment and mission-critical to the business. In addition, you will provide thought leadership and technical expertise on evaluating data tools and platforms that can be leveraged across the USBU. You will also provide direction and guidance for the director in the ownership, on behalf of the USBU, for data systems such as data warehouses, data flows, data QC tools, data onboarding checks and processes and any issues related to these systems, setting direction and strategy for these capabilities and providing industry perspective on how they can be optimized. This work will allow data users to be successful in their analytics and reporting work.
How you will contribute:
Drives for an overall data systems strategy and approach for choosing, implementing and ensuring proper usage of data systems by creating a roadmap and partnering with data governance on SOPs that enable the organization to have effective data movement to proper systems
Sets direction for the criteria and process for leveraging data QC and processing tools for the USBU
Provides expertise in the components of the data systems and their applicability across the USBU and potentially in partnership with medical and R&D as required
Provides guidance ad drives for decisions using industry best practices for Data Tools and Platforms
Drives decision making for tools based on expertise regarding pros and cons of tools and platforms with ability to provide evidence-based recommendation meeting a wide variety of business partner needs
Create guidance and partner with the governance team around the chosen data tools / platforms across the US to ensure consistency and non-duplicative efforts
Drives data tools and platforms adoption to ensure implementation and appropriate use
Directs the to team through prioritization to manage projects and customer relationships of critical importance
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in in a technical or analytical field such as statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, economics, math, etc.
7+ years of progressive experience in data management and governance and/or Commercial Sales Operations/Analytics experience with demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and explain systems and approaches for customer data and product data to enable business decisions.
Experience as acting as a liaison with IT on data projects.
Must have strong knowledge of relevant internal and external data sources within the pharmaceutical data ecosystem.
Experience in setting up an ecosystem of partners bringing together various sources of data.
Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
Must have experience in work flow/information processing.
Must possess experience managing multiple, complex projects involving cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality business processes, solutions, methodologies.
Experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data like IQVIA (IMS Health) Sales Data (DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA), Affiliation (HCOS), APLD (Medical Claims), and Specialty pharmacy data.
